Barrie Tron has worked with major trade policy associations, nonprofit groups, Fortune 500 corporations and prestigious institutes to help shape their media strategies and communications efforts. He works closely with lobbying and public policy teams in the development and communication of public affairs campaigns.

Tron has a broad background in media relations, strategic planning and media productions as it relates to public policy communications. His many recent accomplishments include creating and executing a successful $1.5 million advertising campaign in support of the nation's hospitals, the development of a PAC intranet for a Fortune 100 company and the creation of FreedomBrigade.org, a Web site that supports the President and the war on terrorism.

In 1994, Tron served as executive producer of the GOP's "Contract with America" roll out on the Capitol steps. This was followed by the "Promises Made, Promises Kept" event celebrating the policy accomplishments of the 104th Congress. Tron designed both of these events with an eye on communicating the GOP's policy accomplishments in a media-friendly manner.

In addition to serving as an associate and senior vice president with TheWadeGroup, Inc., Tron is founder and principal of Tron Communications, LLC. He previously was founding partner, vice president & creative director of Policy Impact Communications Inc., a public affairs firm specializing in the development and implementation of communications strategies surrounding issues of public policy.

In 1998, Tron produced Sen. Trent Lott's national broadcast response to the State of the Union, communicating the GOP's message to viewers across the country. He also created Speaker Newt Gingrich's National Town Meetings, which were designed to communicate policy positions to a broad audience.

Tron served as an executive producer at the White House from January 1989 to April 1992, where he produced President George H. W. Bush's nationally televised events, including Oval Office and State of the Union addresses. As director of public affairs, Tron wrote and produced President Bush's public service announcements that appeared in prime time programming on every broadcast and cable television network.

He also served as White House deputy director of media relations and was intimately involved with planning and implementing the President's daily media relations operation.

Before his years in government service, Tron served as director of advertising and broadcast services at the Republican National Committee (RNC). He managed a $14-million advertising budget and produced several of the RNC's national commercials.

Tron has managed and coordinated a variety of communications activities, including events, television productions, satellite teleconferences and advocacy advertising campaigns for clients such as the American Hospital Association, the American Resort Development Association, Kraft Foods and Cisco Systems.

Tron graduated from Columbia University in 1981 with a B.A. in English literature.
