Nancy Mayes has nearly 15 years of experience working with a wide range of health care companies, including the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Mid-Atlantic States, Inc., MedStar Health and the National Women’s Health Resource Center.
In addition to her association with TheWadeGroup, Inc., Mayes is an assistant professor at Hood College in Maryland, where she teaches undergraduate courses in public relations.
Prior to joining TheWadeGroup, Mayes was the communications director at ITS America, a leading advocacy group for the development and deployment of intelligent transportation systems in the United States. She also worked as a project manager for MedStar Health, a nonprofit, community-based health system serving the Baltimore/Washington region.
Before relocating to the Washington, D.C., area in 2003, Mayes spent seven years at Covenant Health in Knoxville, Tenn., where she advanced quickly through the ranks within this multi-hospital, nonprofit health system. She is a member of the Independent Public Relations Alliance, the International Association of Business Communicators, the Public Relations Society of America and Women in Technology.
