M. Elizabeth Farrell has more than 20 years of experience in public policy and communications. She has extensive experience in assisting a wide range of health care clients in business program development and implementation.

Farrell was a public relations consultant at Dorland Public Relations, where she developed for Proctor & Gamble the 2006 strategic professional media relations plans and budgets for ACTONEL®. She served as the director of global product public relations at GlaxoSmithKline and as senior professional relations manager, group manager of business communications, manager of issues management and public policy analysis, and public relations manager and writer at AstraZeneca.

Prior to joining AstraZeneca, Farrell worked as a senior account supervisor at Ketchum, where she managed account teams for U.S. Bioscience, Lederle, Dow Chemical, Dow Consumer Brands and others. She also was an account supervisor for Burson-Marsteller, where she conducted national and international public relations, lobbying and public policy influencer programs for W.R. Grace, General Electric, Coca-Cola, Tetra Pak and Clean Sites.

Farrell earned a Master of Arts in liberal studies at Georgetown University. She also attended the University of Delaware, where she received her degree in communications and journalism, and completed an Executive Mini-MBA at AstraZeneca University in 2001.
